36.5 million dollars in the Arab Cup 2025 Football Championship Awards
Doha, May 22 / WAM / The local organizing committee of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2025 announced that the total value of the financial prizes of the tournament will exceed 36.5 million US dollars (equivalent to about 132.9 million Qatari riyals), in a move that reflects the continuous growth of the championship regional and international status.
His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, Minister of Sports and Youth in the State of Qatar and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Championship, stressed that this declaration reflects the commitment of the State of Qatar to support and develop Arab football, and devotes the championship status among the most prominent international sporting events.
His Excellency said: “Allocating this record of awards is an affirmation of our vision of the championship as a platform to enhance sports values, consolidate feelings of loneliness and belonging, and inspire Arab youth.”
He added that the FIFA 2025 Arab Cup is an extension of the legacy of the 2022 World Cup Qatar, which has achieved unprecedented success, indicating that the next tournament will represent a new opportunity to present Arab football in the best way.
Doha is scheduled to host the championship drawing ceremony on May 25, with competitions starting from 1 to 18 December, and concludes with the final match held on the national day of the State of Qatar.
