Abu Dhabi Culture and Tourism honors 15 establishments and institutions within an initiative "City treasures"

Abu Dhabi, May 27/ WAM/ The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi announced the names of the entities and institutions in the fourth session of the “Treasures of the City” initiative, an annual initiative that celebrates the institutions that contributed to drawing the features of the cultural and social fabric in Abu Dhabi, and contributed to the consolidation of its position as one of the most prominent cities to live and work in the world.

This award comes within the framework of the continuous efforts of the modern heritage to protect the emirate’s modern heritage, and to celebrate its ancient history.
On this occasion, the department organized a party in the cultural complex in Abu Dhabi, which witnessed the honor of 15 establishments and institutions from all over the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Head of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, presented the awards to the winning institutions: Al -Khuloud Club, Gulf Pies, Gulf Al -Khaleeh Al -Nablus sweets, Orchid Stitching and Embroidery store, Mohamed Farouk perfumes, studio and Jumeirah stores, a restaurant and a modern Al -Yahr kitchen, the three -star stars store, a shawarma cafeteria on the loaf, the restaurant of Yemen, and the company Ahmed Sultan Al -Salami for Trade and Import, Al Ain International Medical Clinics, Al -Nouris, and the grocery of the center of cheese and pickles, and natural Sidr honey.

The “Treasures of the City” initiative honored 60 institutions and commercial facilities for four years, in appreciation of its role in supporting the urban and social fabric of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Al -Mubarak said: “The” Treasures of the City “initiative continues its keenness for the fourth year in a row to honor the ancient institutions and installations that contributed to the formation of Abu Dhabi’s features over the decades, and we have succeeded to this day in honoring 60 facilities, all of which are immortal treasures in memory, and societal pillars that reflect the spirit of our emirate, its development, and its heritage, and through the celebration of these facilities, we honor the humanitarian stories and traditions Which gives Abu Dhabi its unique spirit, and with every new copy of the initiative, we renew our commitment to preserving, protecting and promoting the cultural identity of the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and ensuring its firmness in our society, and inspiring future generations to estimate this legacy and pride in it.

The initiative was launched with the aim of honoring the most prominent local projects that established its presence and left its mark in Abu Dhabi for more than 20 years, including restaurants, bakeries, sewing and fabric stores, perfumes and jewels, pharmacies, photography studios, and other institutions, and in order to enhance the status of these “treasures” and preserve them for future generations, the award is in line with the initiative to preserve the modern heritage It was launched by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and celebrates the history of the ancient emirate and its command.

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi has opened the nomination door for the 2025 version in front of the public in the belief in the importance of involving society members in highlighting the original institutions that provide their services for decades, and a specialized committee assigned the nominations based on specific criteria, including important elements such as forming the place, urban history, societal value, material originality, and other criteria that reflect the importance of these facilities in the urban fabric And the cultural of Abu Dhabi.
