Al -Usha: The humanitarian efforts in Gaza face the largest obstacle in the modern history of the world

In response to the questions of journalists in Geneva today, Friday, the UCA spokesman, Yans Larkie, said that Israel, the power -based force, It imposes a closed and tight control. On the humanitarian process, he stressed that the amount of aid allowed to enter the sector “It does not exceed the mere drip feeding to an area on the brink of catastrophic famine.”
In addition, he said that the aid movement to the Strip and its crossing is very complicated and obstructed, and requires multiple groups of Israeli approvals, and stressed that “The permits are granted and then withdrawn again without explanation.”
An inhuman alternative
Mr. Larkie said that the alternative proposed by Israel, represented by the so -called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”, said “Not neutral, independent, or practical.” He stated that the needs should be the only criterion for receiving aid, “This is not based on people’s ability to walk 20 km.” He added: “What they do is desperate, tragic, frustrated and inhuman at all.”
He said that the intention of the Israeli method of distributing aid “It looks like undermining the distribution of the United Nations food, which is exactly what the need requires in the event of acute food insecurity on the brink of catastrophic famine. People must be fed immediately, and this must be done every day. Feeding the family today only and letting them die hunger again tomorrow, it does not benefit.”
A spokesman for the Humanitarian Coordination Office said that the United Nations has an effective system, and it has tens of thousands of dining platforms and other life -saving aid ready to enter Gaza, which is paid by donors the world. But he stressed that “Occupied power deliberately prevents the entry of aid.”
The most hungry places
He said that concerns about converting aid path – to other parties – said “Without providing new evidence” Do not justify stopping the humanitarian process. He emphasized that the United Nations and its partners applied strict censorship to every shipment they deal with, “We have not seen any major aid transfer under our control.”
He added: “What is happening outside the system we control is not our responsibility. Our responsibility is the assistance that we bring, which are subject to strict control.”
Mr. Larkie said that many aid was born on the few trucks that were allowed to enter Gaza by crowds of people, describing it as “A reaction to survival by desperate people who want to feed their families and children.”
He said he does not blame them “For one moment, they took the aid that is basically to them, but it was not distributed in the way we want.”
He stressed the need to reopen all the crossings leading to the sector, and that the United Nations can deliver food directly to families wherever they are. He added: “Our responsibility in the end is towards the people we serve, no one else, and they need to reach aid to their whereabouts, as we did in the past.”
Mr. Larkia emphasized again that Gaza is “The most hungry place on Earth’s face” Because it is the only specific area that “100% of the population faces the risk of starvation.”
“Continuous nightmare “
For his part, a spokesman for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Thomaso della Longa, said that this situation is worrying and especially frustrated due to the presence of tons of humanitarian aid ready to enter the sector, adding that the situation is getting worse “minute after a minute, not a week after the other.”
He told reporters in Geneva: “It is hell on the ground. It is a continuous nightmare. I do not find other words to describe it. What I know is that the suffering is enormous. It continues moment by moment, and it communicates live around the clock. Everyone in the world knows this, but we still lack action. This is frustrating, annoying and unacceptable.”
