She emphasized that Umm Al -Qura University was honored by the honor of the place and science, and it is considered one of the important arms in the service of society, especially in the Hajj season to serve the guests of Rahman.
For his part, Dr. Jasser bin Abdullah Al -Shehri, Chairman of the Board of Directors (Dirham Prevention), implementing the volunteer health program in Hajj, is that 650 volunteers and volunteers representing more than 30 local and international universities from various colleges and health specialties from all regions of the Kingdom have been accepted and participated.
He indicated that the program consists of three main stages, the first of which is the theoretical and practical training stage, which is the volunteers for their expected tasks during the Hajj season. Then the second stage that begins to sort the volunteers and distribute them in field teams with medical equipment to start their awareness and medical tasks and go to the field, which starts from the day of Tarwiyah and ends at the end of the days of al -Tashreeq. Finally, the program ending and data collection.
Al -Shehri explained that the volunteer health program in the Hajj provides a promising opportunity to activate and invest the volunteer medical cadres from various health specialties; By achieving an advanced field volunteer model because it is specially designed in line with the nature of the Hajj season, and its health statistics that monitor the most common injuries such as heat stress, sunstroke, treatment of diabetic foot injuries, fatigue, and others; In addition to monitoring the risk rate in each area, the program is subject to modernization annually.
