Record Regional Center for Dust and Sand Storms 42 hours of dust conditions in a number of countries in the region yesterday, Friday, June 5, 2026, according to accurate daily monitoring and follow-up data of climate phenomena in the region.
The analytical bulletins showed a noticeable difference in the extent of the regional impact on these Storms, where the State of Qatar topped the list of countries most affected by recording 17 hours of dust occurrences, followed by Iran with 10 hours, then Jordan with 6 hours.
Dust Activity
The Center monitored 5 hours of dust activity in Yemen, and 3 hours in Uzbekistan, while the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia came as the least affected country by recording only one hour of dust occurrences during the same period.
The Center indicated that no No dust hours were recorded in the rest of the countries of the region during that day, attributing this remarkable difference in the rates of dust activity between countries to the difference in weather conditions and the prevailing climatic factors that affect the movement of winds and create these phenomena.
The Regional Center confirmed its continued intensification of surveillance, monitoring and analysis work around the clock, with the aim of supporting and activating early warning systems.
