"Abu Dhabi Agriculture" Organize a lecture on "The year of society and sustainability"

Abu Dhabi, June 4 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Authority for Agriculture and Food Safety organized a lecture entitled “The Year of Society and Sustainability”, in the context of celebrating the “Year of Society 2025” presented by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al -Nuaimi, Chairman of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, in which he discussed prominent stations from the history of community development in the UAE, and its close relationship with the concepts of sustainability and national motivation.
The lecture was witnessed by a number of executive leaders in the authority, including His Excellency Moza Suhail Al -Muhairi, Deputy Director General of the Authority for Organizational and Administrative Affairs, and a number of executives, along with a number of members of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah are His Excellency Jassim Al -Hanawi Al -Naqbi, His Excellency Dr. Ruqaya Al -Zaabi, His Excellency Dr. Obaid Khasawa Al -Naqbi, His Excellency Dr. Hind Saleh Al -Hajri, His Excellency Hamid Obaid Al -Hamoudi, in addition to a large number of Authority employees.
His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al -Nuaimi reviewed three integrated stages in the march of development and sustainability in the UAE, noting that these stages constituted the strategic depth of the formation of the Emirati society, built the features of its renaissance, and established his presence in the indicators of sustainable development.
He explained that the first stage was represented in the foundation and construction phase that extends from the 1970s to the beginning of the millennium, and the state at the time was starting from a comprehensive construction vision to build a coherent society based on the values of science, health and development.
He added: “The UAE moved in the second stage, which spanned from 2000 to 2020, to the stage of empowerment and development, and included major projects such as the Dubai Metro in 2009, and the success of Khalifa 2010 to the current sustainability stage, represented in pioneering projects such as the hope probe and carbon fingerprint reduction programs as well as Expo 2020 Dubai, in which community institutions witnessed a qualitative expansion in their services Advanced community that focused on empowering the individual and the family, and expanding the horizon of participation in development.
His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al -Nuaimi pointed out that the launch of the Emirati genome project in 2009, and the early preparation for the challenges of the future, such as smart education, such as milestones for this stage, which culminated in the UAE’s access to the list of the largest global systems in health, educational and social efficiency in 2020.
He stated that the third stage, which he described as the stage of “integrated sustainability”, which extends from 2020 to 2050, was launched with a forward -looking vision that relies on innovation and integration between the components of society and its institutions, and aims to deepen the concepts of comprehensive sustainability in each sector.
His Excellency appreciated the pioneering efforts made by the state in supporting the process of sustainability, led by the Baraka peaceful nuclear power plant, which is one of the most prominent national projects to achieve energy security and diversify its sources, in a way that keeps pace with the state’s aspirations towards a sustainable future based on a balanced mixture of clean resources.
Al -Nuaimi stressed that the culture of societal motivation represents an essential pillar in this march and said: “Today we are not only building projects, but we build thought, approach and culture based on the fact that everyone is able to contribute to the path of giving.”
His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al -Nuaimi gave the lecture a sophisticated literary dimension and presented a number of his national poems that reflected the feelings of belonging and loyalty to the homeland, and embodied the poetry visions of the meanings of sustainability and giving, to give the meeting a cultural nature beating the love of the Emirates and pride in its development path.
On the sidelines of the lecture, the Abu Dhabi Authority for Agriculture and Food Safety, in cooperation with the archive and the national library, held an exhibition that highlights the great efforts of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, in consolidating societal ties, and building a future based on national cohesion and human sustainability, and rare pictures presented bright stations from his life and his career in giving and construction.
