"FIFA" The new arbitration innovations display before the start of the Club World Cup

Washington, on June 10 / WAM / The referees committee of the International Football Association “FIFA” will show the new arbitration innovations before the launch of the Club World Cup, as part of a “virtual” media briefing tomorrow, with the participation of the committee chairman, Pierlawiji Culina, and the director of innovation in “FIFA”, Johannes Holsmaller.
The committee highlights a package of technical and arbitration innovations that will be applied for the first time during the championship, to enhance the experience of the fans, upgrade the level of transparency and develop organizational processes, including cameras installed on the bodies of the referees, displaying the referees’ reviews directly inside the stadiums, adopting the semi -advanced infiltration technology, and using a tablet device to facilitate changes.
The tournament will also witness the application of a new arbitration initiative, which provides for the competing team to give a corner kick in the event that the goalkeeper keeps the ball for more than 8 seconds, using a visual descending count that starts after 5 seconds, instead of the indirect free kick applied after exceeding 6 seconds.
