Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed is witnessing part of the activities of the Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, witnessed part of the activities of the “Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit”, organized by the Abu Dhabi Center for Projects and Infrastructure, at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center over a period of two days, under the slogan “Future cities: reinventing infrastructure for more quality lifestyles.”

During a tour that included the wings of the various parties participating in the summit, His Highness reviewed the latest international solutions and technologies in the field of sustainable infrastructure, where more than 25 entities review the participation of local and international experiences in the field of infrastructure sustainability and the adoption of methods and principles of smart urban planning in building modern cities, in a way that contributes to enhancing the quality of the life of members of society.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the importance of benefiting from the latest advanced technical solutions in the urban planning of smart cities for the sustainability of infrastructure, in a manner that ensures enhancing the readiness of societies to meet the aspirations of the generations of the present and the future and upgrade the quality of life, through investing in the establishment of integrated facilities and infrastructure capable of keeping pace with the technological progress in the construction sector by relying on the latest solutions based on intelligence Artificial.

The summit witnessed the launch of the Municipalities and Transport Department of the “Building” platform, which employs artificial intelligence techniques to facilitate the process of issuing building permits by reducing the time of transactions processing by up to 70%, ensuring the completion of requests within 24 hours.

The platform system also includes a feature that helps in reducing excess consumption and reducing the environmental effects of projects. The platform also provides a unified destination for the concerned authorities to enable more than 15 government agencies to access plans and other relevant documents.

The Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit attracted more than 2000 experts, a group of engineers, decision makers, senior officials in the field of urban planning, infrastructure management and representatives of international institutions from all over the world to exchange ideas and experiences during high -level dialogue sessions aimed at highlighting the concepts of sustainability and innovation in planning the infrastructure of modern cities.

The Abu Dhabi Center for Projects and Infrastructure reviewed, during the summit, a set of initiatives and programs it leads to provide an integrated urban environment that enhances the welfare and quality of the life of community members in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The center’s efforts include the implementation of qualitative projects in the housing, public parks, education, and tourism sectors, as well as many vital government projects.

The center is currently overseeing the implementation of more than 600 projects worth more than 200 billion dirhams, which reflects its pivotal role in supporting the comprehensive development process and consolidating the position of Abu Dhabi as a leading global city in infrastructure quality.

During this visit, His Highness was accompanied by Jassim Muhammad Bou hero Al -Zaabi, head of the Finance Department in Abu Dhabi; And Muhammad Ali Al -Sharafa, Head of the Municipalities and Transport Department in Abu Dhabi, Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary -General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Head of the Crown Prince Office in the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Engineer Maysara Mahmoud Eid, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Center for Projects and Infrastructure.
