UAE and Indonesia strengthen their cooperation in the field of governance and the protection of public resources

Abu Dhabi, June 19 / WAM / The Emirates Accounting Agency and the Indonesian Auditing Council entered into a strategic memorandum of understanding aimed at consolidating bilateral cooperation in the areas of public resources and consolidating the principles of active governance.
The memorandum was signed at the headquarters of the Emirates Accounting Agency in Abu Dhabi, during a meeting of His Excellency Hamid Obaid Abu Shabas, the head of the agency, and His Excellency Dr. Issima Yaton, President of the Audit Council in the Republic of Indonesia, in the context of strengthening the regulatory relations between the two countries.
The memo covers various areas of cooperation, including the exchange of specialized knowledge, and the participation of best practices in the fields of audit, accounting and control over public resources, as well as mutual benefit from training programs and capacity building, as well as coordination of participation in events and conferences of common concern.
The memorandum reflects the UAE Accounting Authority’s keenness to enhance the principles of transparency and develop the mechanisms of financial and administrative control, in line with the directions of the rational leadership of the UAE in consolidating international cooperation, and supporting institutional integration at the local and global levels.
The Memorandum of Understanding confirms the commitment of the two countries to improve the criteria of governance in the vital sectors, in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable development and raising the levels of safety and stability in the global economy.
