Al Ain hosts the Equestrian Competition for the Special Olympics for the Middle East and North Africa during August

Al Ain on June 25/ WAM/ The UAE Special Olympics and the International Special Olympics for the Middle East and North Africa are organizing the regional equestrian competition for the Special Olympics for the Middle East and North Africa during the period from August 24 to 28 in Al Ain. Participates in the competition – which is organized for the first time – a group of players with intellectual and developmental challenges from several Arab countries, including Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Iraq, Tunisia, and Bahrain, while Labiba participates in the training that precedes the competition.
The competition – announced today during a press conference held in the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain – includes a number of equestrian races and include the English ride and jumping barriers, track, control and dressage, with allocating competitive groups that suit the capabilities of the players and highlight their skills in an environment that allows participation for everyone safely.
The competition is held under the auspices of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and with the support of the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police as a host partner, and the Emirates Equestrian Federation participates as a supporter of the competition hosted by the stables of Abu Dhabi Police Knights, “Special Patrols Department” in Al Ain. His Excellency Mohammed Al -Nuaimi, member of the UAE Special Olympics Board of Trustees, said that the regional equestrian competition for the Special Olympics for the Middle East and North Africa is not just a new sports station in the UAE Special Olympics march, but rather a real space for integration, allows our players the opportunity to express their full capabilities, especially when they have the appropriate support and opportunities. In addition to the competitions, accompanying community activities will be held targeting families and local society, with the aim of enhancing awareness of integration issues, and introducing the Special Olympics and its human message.
Introductory and interactive sessions will be organized for visitors about equestrian sport and their role in empowering people of determination, and the competition is accompanied by an intense program of preparations, where the weekly training begins every Sunday from this week until August 10, followed by the establishment of a closed training camp in Al Ain between 13 and 23 August, to raise the readiness of the UAE Special Olympics players and trainers alike.
In order to achieve the highest levels of excellence in the competition, a regional training course will be organized targeting the coaches of the participating countries and leaders, within the framework of the efforts of the International Special Olympics for the Middle East and North Africa to develop technical cadres within equestrian sport.
