King Fahd Hospital in Hofuf succeeds in an integrated rehabilitation of a patient after the heart transplant

The King in Hofuf Hospital received a 14 -year -old patient who underwent a successful heart transplant outside Al -Ahsa, to complete the qualification phase near his family. When his condition is evaluated by the specialized team, the initial evaluation showed that there are difficulties in performing daily activities such as confusion, bathing, and carrying books, as well as challenges in focusing, breathing, social interaction, and a constant feeling of anxiety about the future. It was also noticed in long -distance walking ability and difficulty sitting for extended periods.

A comprehensive qualification plan was prepared under the supervision of a multidisciplinary team that includes: natural medicine and rehabilitation, career treatment, physical therapy, psychological and social support, with continuous follow -up through virtual clinics and communication with the family, where the sessions began gradually, and contributed to improving the patient’s ability to move, increase his social interaction, and enhance his self -confidence.
