President of the Amman International Film Festival: "We refuse to die culturally"
The activities of the sixth session of the Amman International Film Festival & ndash; The first movie, in the presence of Princess Reem Ali, President and Foundation for the Festival, alongside Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, in the presence of a remarkable presence of Arab and international films, and diplomatic and cultural figures.
The opening ceremony was marked by the absence of the red carpet for the second year in a succession, in solidarity with the victims in Palestine, where Princess Reem confirmed in her speech: & quot;"RTL"> She added that the festival slogan for this year, & quot; a world outside the text & quot;, is inspired by the collapse of the human system globally, stressing that filmmakers are & quot; they contribute to returning the world to its path & quot;
The ceremony presented by the artist Zain Awad and the journalist Muhannad Al -Jazeera was opened with a traditional Circassian show, followed by the short Palestinian film & quot; after & quot; The director Maha Hajj, in the presence of his hero Mohamed Bakri. The film is shown for the first time in the world, and it carries an artistic message on loss and steadfastness.
Ireland was also announced as a guest of honor of this session, in the presence of international director Jim Sheridan, who said in his speech: & quot; The only thing of value is faith and truth & helip; That is why Irish can only say the truth & quot;
The festival will display this year 62 films from 23 countries, including first international shows, as well as workshops and dialogue sessions within the program & quot; Production.
