The Amman Film Festival raised the slogan “A World outside the text”, for its sixth session, which was opened yesterday evening in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Royal Film Commission Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, and the head of the Amman Film Festival Princess Reem Al -Ali, Princess Jalila Bint Ali, Prince Abdullah bin Ali, and a crowd of stars, guests and filmmakers, including: Saba Mubarak, George Diyamund Abu Abboud, director Yousry Nasrallah, Rashid Mashharawi, the champion of the series “Al -Rawabi School for Girls”, Tara Abboud, and some of the famous stars of the series, and a number of filmmakers from all over the world.
At the opening ceremony, Princess Reem Al -Ali said: The slogan “a world outside the text” embodies a world that turned his back on diplomacy and dialogue, and all human laws and the simplest bases of fitness collapsed, as if he chose to speak in another language, which is the language of madness and silence. She added, “Film makers, whom we have chosen, are the ones who contribute to returning it to their path.”

“The Festival” grows up year after year:
Speaking to “Zahrat Al -Khaleej”, the festival director, Nada Domani, confirmed that the festival is growing year after year, despite all the circumstances surrounding it, and what the region went through.
She added that what distinguished this year is the presence of the guest state, and Ireland was chosen to be the guest of the festival’s honor, and this matter was embodied in the presence of the famous Irish director Jim Sheridan, and the number of films participating was more than usual, and for the first time there are 11 Jordanian films participating in the festival competitions.
Domani also indicated that the festival was allocated this year, and for the first time, a corner for the series devoted to the Internet (web series), as well as introducing sign language into a number of films.
The festival director indicated that the festival’s main feature, which appears through its name and slogan (first movie), is that he is concerned with the first shows and first films since its foundation, whether the work is the first for the director, his hero, his hero or his writer. It also focuses on Arab works more despite the existence of some international offers.

The opening ceremony had witnessed distinctive artistic paintings of Circassian folklore, and various musical instruments, in which the artist Zain Awad presented some improvised Tarabian paragraphs on the stage, the arbitration committees participating in the festival were reviewed, and the opening movie was shown “post” to the Palestinian director Maha Haj.
The festival lasts for 9 days, and it displays 62 Arab and international films, many of which are shown for the first time in the world, and some of the films that have won great awards in important international cinemas, as well as specialized seminars presented by filmmakers from different countries of the world.
