Under the direction of the President of the State and the sponsorship of Hazza bin Zayed .. Al Ain Festival for Camel Racing will start tomorrow

Abu Dhabi, July 3/ WAM/ under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Ain region, the activities of the “Al Ain Festival for Camel Racing” will be launched, and will continue until October 9, 2025, in the Rawda Square in Al Ain, and organizes the Center for Racing Affairs and Camel Camel, under the supervision of the Camel Racing Federation.
The festival includes 3 preliminary rounds held during the months of July, August and September this year, and it is concluded with the final challenges in the beginning of October, which is witnessing the culmination of the elite of the Mattaya and participants in the festival.
The festival program includes the organization of 605 runs distributed over the various age groups of camels, including the categories of vitamins, facts, metaphysics, broadcasting, folds, strabismus, and time, with various distances, all of which are held in the morning period, which reflects the technical and competitive gradient adopted in camel races.
The organizer committee monitored valuable financial prizes for the participants in all runs, as well as special runs for symbols in each age group, which reflects efforts to encourage heritage sports, and consolidate the status of the event and its importance on the annual camel racing agenda.
His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, President of the Camel Racing Federation, expressed his pride in the launch of the first edition of the festival, praising the support of the rational leadership of this authentic national legacy, and the generous care of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
His Excellency confirmed that the festival represents a strategic step within the march of developing camel races in the country, and enhances the participation of owners, especially young people, in this vital heritage sector, which guarantees the sustainability of the Emirati heritage, and transferred it to future generations.
The “camel races” is an authentic pillar in the Emirati heritage and identity, to enhance the association of generations with their roots and authentic heritage, and its organization and development reflects the efforts made to preserve the cultural heritage of the UAE, and to consolidate its presence and transfer to generations.
