Prices of 11 types of vegetables decreased in Saudi Arabia during the month of February

The bulletin revealed averages of Commodity prices issued by the General Authority for Statistics revealed a noticeable variation in the prices of vegetables in Saudi Arabia for the month of February 2026, as the list of 25 types of vegetables and legumes witnessed an increase in 12 items, and a decrease in 11 items, while 3 items stabilized at their previous levels compared to the month of January 2026.
Topping the list of high prices was local lettuce, whose price reached 5.8 riyals. per kilo, with an increase of 2.9%, and green beans, which rose by 3.8% to record 10.8 riyals per kilo in February, compared to 10.4 riyals in the previous January.
Data Statistics revealed that the price of local molokhiya decreased by 6.4% to 2.9 riyals per package in February compared to 3.1 riyals in the previous January, while local watercress stabilized at 1.1 riyals and spinach at 1.3 riyals per package, and white cabbage rose by 1.1% to 3.6 riyals per kilo.
In the group of peppers, the local cold green pepper recorded a noticeable increase to 7.4 riyals per kilo. 3.2%, while green chili pepper remained unchanged at 8.5 riyals per kilo.
Local cucumbers witnessed a noticeable decline of 6.4% in February, reaching 5.2 riyals per kilo, while local black eggplant rose by almost 3% to 5.3 riyals per kilo.
As for local tomatoes, their price decreased by 3.8% to 4.5 riyals per kilo in February, while tomatoes decreased Imported to 5.6 riyals. Pumpkin recorded an increase of 1.1% to 5.8 riyals per kilo, while local zucchini jumped by 5.2% to record 6.1 riyals per kilo during the month of February.
In a related context, local okra rose slightly to 17.4 riyals per kilo, beans also rose, and local carrots increased by 2.3% to 5.8 riyals per kilo. Chinese garlic was relatively stable, reaching 10.6 riyals per kilo, while local round onions decreased to 3.6 riyals per kilo, and imported round onions remained at 4.6 riyals without change.
Spanish black olives rose to 25.5 riyals per kilo, by 1.6%, while local potatoes fell to 4 riyals, a decrease of 2.5%.
And in the group of legumes and canned foods, it decreased. The price of lentils during the month of February increased by 1.4% to 9.3 riyals per kilo, and fava beans (California Gardens) decreased by 2.1% to 4.6 riyals for a 450-gram package, while local tomato sauce stabilized at 2 riyals for a 135-gram package, and sweet corn stabilized at 6.2 riyals for a 340-gram package, with no significant change from the previous January.
It is reported that the consumer price index (Inflation) in Saudi Arabia recorded an annual increase of 1.7% during February 2026, compared to its counterpart from the previous year.
