4 traditional workshops .. King Abdulaziz Library launches the summer program for children

The King Abdulaziz Public Library in Riyadh was launched yesterday morning, Tuesday, The activities of the summer program for the child library, which lasts for a full month, and this year comes in conjunction with “Handicrafts Year” 2025, under the slogan: “Our fingers draw our heritage”, targeting implanting heritage values in the hearts of children and emerging through interactive activities inspired by Saudi crafts Al -Aseeh." target ="_Blank"> Cultural identity to the Kingdom, by providing a variety of workshops that include the arts of “Sadu”, “embroidery”, “wickedness”, and “pottery industry”, with the participation of children and adults in an interactive educational environment that reflects the richness of Saudi heritage, along with popular tale sessions that list the history of these crafts and their social connotations. Al -Sharif, that the program is not limited to being summer entertainment activities, but rather an effective extension of the ancient heritage of the Kingdom, noting that the library seeks through this program to introduce the new generation to its cultural roots, and to link children and adolescents to the values of originality and art that is rooted in Saudi society. The national identity, and the preservation of heritage as a pivotal element in building the Saudi character, stressing that the library works to instill the values of innovation, mastery and identity in the hearts of the future generation, through integrated educational and recreational activities.
