A strong start for the UAE team in the World Championship for Snooker in Bahrain

Manama on July 14/ WAM/ The UAE team for Snooker scored a strong start in the World Snooker Championship competitions, which started yesterday in the Bahraini capital, Manama, and includes the masters, 6 balls, and juniors, and organized by the International Billiard and Snooker Federation during the period from 13 to 24 July, with the participation of 250 players and players from 26 countries.

The player, Mohamed Al-Joker, achieved two consecutive wins in the Masters category, over the Egyptian Mohamed Essam 3-0, and the Omani Sami Al-Hamrashdi 3-1, and Muhammad Shihab surpassed Sri Lanka Thosetha Robaji 3-0, while their colleague Issa Al-Hashemi lost to the Iraqi Ali Hussein 1-3.

The UAE team participates in the championship with a mission that includes 6 players, 3 in the Master category: Mohamed Shehab, Mohamed Al -Joker, Issa Al Hashemi, and 3 in the junior category: Saif Al -Zaabi, Muhammad Omar Al -Rumaithi and Ahmed Saeed Al -Shehhi.

The Emirates Billiard and Snooker Games emphasized that this participation comes within the framework of its keenness to support the team’s presence in the world championships, and to enhance its international achievement record, reflecting the honorable image he enjoys at the game level.
Mohamed Abdullah Youssef, the team supervisor, pointed out that the tournament is an important station in the players’ march, especially the young people who benefit from these posts to gain experience and contact with global levels, praising the preparations that the players fought before the tournament, and the readiness they showed since the start of the competitions.
