The UAE welcomes the ceasefire in As -Suwayda, condemns the Israeli escalation and confirms its support for the stability of Syria and its territorial integrity
Abu Dhabi, July 16/ WAM/ The UAE welcomed the announcement of the ceasefire in the province of As -Suwayda, in southern Syria, stressing the importance of calm and protecting civilians, and its support for efforts to restore security and stability in the region.
The UAE also strongly condemned the dangerous escalation in southern Syria and strongly condemned the Israeli raids on the region, confirming its complete rejection of the violation of the sovereignty of Syria and the threat of its security and stability.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed the affirmation of the UAE’s steadfast position towards supporting Syria’s stability and sovereignty over its entire lands, its standing alongside the brotherly Syrian people, and its support for all endeavors aimed at achieving its aspirations for security, peace, a decent life, peaceful coexistence and development.
