During their presidency of the first meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee, the President of the State and the Turkish President confirms the continuation of strengthening the relations of the two countries

Ankara, July 16/ WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, and His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Turkish Republic, chaired the first meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the two countries … in the context of a state visit by His Highness to Türkiye.
During the meeting – which was held in the Presidential Palace in Ankara – the two sides discussed the development of cooperation paths in various fields that serve the priorities of development in the two countries and contribute to achieving their common interests … and that is within the framework of the comprehensive economic partnership that brings the UAE and Turkey.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkish President welcomed the visit of His Highness the President of the State, stressing that the visit constitutes a strong push for the relations of the two countries at all levels.
The two sides reviewed the level of progress made by the two countries in the path of their relations in all aspects, especially the economy, trade, technology and industry, in addition to renewable energy, food security and other aspects that contribute to accelerating the path of sustainable development in the two countries.
The meeting also touched on a number of regional and international issues and developments, foremost of which are the developments taking place in the Middle East region … stressing the two countries’ keenness to support the efforts made to advance the regional peace path that is the main base for development and achieve a better future for current and future generations in the region.
In this context, the two sides stressed the need to adopt dialogue and diplomatic solutions to deal with the various crises in the region and the world in a way that achieves the interests of all countries and their peoples.
During the meeting, the President of the State affirmed the strength of the Emirati -Turkish relations, which is based on mutual respect and the common desire to enhance growth and prosperity in the two countries and the region … indicating the UAE’s keenness to enhance its cooperation with Türkiye and support the common vision of the two countries towards the consolidation of peace, security and stability in the region in a way that meets the interests of all its countries.
His Highness said that the Supreme Strategic Committee constitutes a qualitative addition to the frameworks of bilateral cooperation and embodies the qualitative development of the Emirati -Turkish relations, besides being an important platform for dialogue and consultation on issues of concern to the two countries.
For his part, His Excellency the Turkish President expressed his keenness to enhance cooperation with His Highness the President of the State for the good of the two countries and their peoples, in a way that contributes to promoting peace, stability and prosperity in the region and the world.
His Excellency the Turkish President held a banquet in honor of His Highness the President of the State and the accompanying delegation.
