Emirates Airlines returns the city of Jasmine to its international network

Yesterday, Emirates Airlines officially resumed its service to the Syrian capital, Damascus, and returned the “city of Jasmine” to its wide network of destinations in the Middle East, to restore the largest international air carrier in the world, linking Damascus again to more than 150 destinations across the six continents of the world.

He added: «The UAE and Syria are related to strong bilateral relations over the decades, and Syria has always been an important market for (Emirates Airlines) since our flights to it in 1988, and by facilitating the transportation of passengers and goods, we aim to vibrantly contribute to enhancing the movement of tourism, trade and investment, and linking Syria with approximately 150 destinations through our network of flights around the world.

For his part, the director of the Public Relations Department at the General Authority of the Syrian Civil Aviation, Alaa Salal, said: “The Syrian General Civil Aviation Authority team and the UAE team made continuous efforts characterized by higher coordination and joint vision, in order to create the technical and administrative conditions necessary to resume flights and these fruitful efforts culminated in success, by restarting the flights (Emirates Airlines) to Damascus, in a move that reflects the depth of cooperation between the two sides and their keenness to enhance brotherly ties And economic. ”

Emirates Airlines will start operating three flights a week in the first stage, on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, with plans to increase the number of flights to four weeks starting from the second of next August, by adding a trip on Saturday, and the carrier will also expand its services to the Syrian capital to a daily trip as of next October 26 (subject to government approvals), in what will benefit Emirates Airlines travelers from Damascus and to it, from an exchange partnership. And Emirates Airlines announced that it will operate its flights to Damascus with a Boeing 777-200LR plane, which provides 38 seats in the business degree, along with 264 seats in the Economy Class.
