The Ministry of Health and the Supreme Family Affairs in Sharjah accomplishes a campaign "Prevention of heat exhaustion and diseases"

Sharjah, July 18 / WAM / The Ministry of Health and Community Protection, in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah and partners in the governmental and private sectors, has completed 3 stations within the campaign “Prevention of Heat and Diseases” in the Emirate of Sharjah, which will continue throughout July and August under the slogan “Your safety is our goal” in conjunction with the period of work ban at noon to enhance health awareness among the workers and workers in field jobs With the dangers of exposure to thermal exhaustion in the summer.
The campaign targeted more than 4000 individuals in multiple locations.
The stages of the campaign, whose awareness activities continue throughout the week in various areas of Sharjah, included the implementation of awareness -raising field visits to a number of sites during which it focused on the category of workers in the construction sites to enhance their awareness of the health procedures to be followed during the summer and provide them with instructions that help them avoid the risks of heat stress.
It also targeted employers in factories and construction sites.
The campaign efforts extended to include workers at fuel stations, cleaners, workers in public parks, parking lots and delivery services to provide them with preventive information and guidelines that help them prevent thermal exhaustion.
The campaign also organized educational activities directed to members of society, such as housewives and university students, in cooperation with the Emirates Association for Friends of Senior Citizens and Al Qasimia University in Sharjah.
The campaign targets ten thousand workers in the framework of integrated national efforts that enhance the human position in the heart of societal work and translate the directions of “the year of society 2025”.
Mohamed Abdullah Al -Zarouni, director of the representative office of the Ministry in Sharjah, stressed that the campaign is a humanitarian initiative that reflects the values of social responsibility by preserving the health and safety of society by spreading health awareness among all its segments, especially workers ’groups.
