Emirates Airlines runs a third daily flight to Mauritius

Emirates Airlines announced the launch of a third daily flight to Mauritius, as of December 1, as part of its commitment to supporting tourism coming to the island, and the carrier will take the additional flight on its plane “Boeing 777”, on the flight “EK 709/710”.

Emirates Airlines reported that it is currently running two flights daily to Mauritius on its giant Airbus A380 via the two flights «K. 701/702) and“ EK 703/704 ”, while the third daily flight will be provided, as part of the symbol exchange agreement with“ Mauritius Airlines ”, flexible travel dates to meet the needs of travelers from the Middle East Europe and the Americas, who wish to visit this tourist site in the Indian Ocean, and ensure smooth connection trips within the flight network.

According to «Emirates Airlines», the new flight will start daily from Dubai at 06:55 am and arrive at Mauritius at 13:40 pm, local time, while the return flight will leave Mauritius at 18:30 pm to arrive in Dubai at 01:10 next morning, local time.

“We thank the authorities in Mauritius for their support in activating an additional daily service,” said Adnan Kazem, Vice President and CEO of Commercial Operations at Emirates Airlines. We are proud to serve this destination since 2002, and our daily flights on A380 aircraft contributed significantly to the growth of the tourism sector in the country. ”He added:“ The additional flight will increase the seat capacity on the line by more than 30%, and provide additional travel options for travelers for tourism or business purposes, with a smooth link to our other destinations. ”

He continued: «We finally renewed our partnership in the symbol exchange agreement with (Mauritius Airlines), in confirmation of our joint commitment to promoting the destination at the global level, and meeting the increasing demand for travel to Mauritius, and we are also pleased to support and strengthen the operations of the national carrier, which had a role in our success on this line, and the additional daily service would enable the two companies to meet the growing global demand in this direction.

Since the start of Emirates Airlines services to Mauritius in 2002, the company has transported more than 8.8 million passengers, and more than 126,000 tons of shipments on its flights to the island and from there.
