Strong competitions in the second day of the World Martial Arts Championship in Al Ain

Al Ain on July 22 / WAM / The sixth edition of the World Mixed Martial Arts Championships continued at the Al Ain Convention Center of ADNEC and will continue until July 27, in an enthusiastic atmosphere and wide participation from more than 1,000 players from 60 countries around the world.

The second day competitions were attended by His Excellency Mohamed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Federation of Jujitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, Chairman of the Mixed Martial Arts Committee, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al -Shammari, Director of Executive Executive Sector of National Talents in the Government Empowerment Department, Ghabisha Mansour Al -Amri, Director of Al Ain Center for Care and Rehabilitation, Badriya Muhammad Al Menhali, Head of the Department of Administration of Al Ain region in the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, alongside Representatives of the Emirates Jujitsu Federation and Mixed Martial Arts and the delegations of the participating teams.

The second day of the tournament witnessed the establishment of the junior category C. (12-13 years), where the participants presented distinguished technical levels inside the cage of the fight, characterized by strength, discipline and sports competition, amid a great public interaction.

Fahd Ali Al -Shamsi, Secretary -General of the Emirates Federation of Jujitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, stressed that the tournament continues to consolidate its position as a leading global platform for refining emerging talents, pointing to the remarkable distinction in the organizational and artistic level of this event, as well as its cultural and human dimensions.

He said: We are proud of the performance of our national team players, and we trust that their medal balance will continue to grow, with the support of the wise leadership and the strategic vision of the federation in consolidating the UAE’s presence on the global scene of martial arts.

Wissam Abi Nader, Vice President of the International Federation of Martial Martial Arts, praised the distinguished level of the tournament, saying: The junior championship has become a global model to follow in terms of organization and talent care, and we are proud of our partnership with the Emirates Federation, and we look forward to more joint successes in the coming years.

On the sidelines of the competitions, the “Sports Quarter” accompanying the championship organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi witnessed a demand from families and visitors, where they enjoyed various entertainment and interactive experiences, which included heritage and cultural activities, and the taste of dishes from various international kitchens, which gave the tournament an integrated family character that mixes sports, entertainment and awareness.
