Russia always wants peace in Ukraine .. However

President Vladimir Putin stressed that Russia wants a permanent and stable peace in Ukraine, before adding that its conditions for achieving peace have not changed, and among it Ukraine abandoned lands and its ambition to join NATO.
“We need a permanent and stable peace based on solid foundations, which satisfies Russia and Ukraine, and guarantees the security of the two countries … the conditions are still the same” from the Russian side, “Putin told reporters.

The war of Russia and Ukraine

The Russian president is calling for Kiev to abandon the regions of Donetsk, Logansk, Khairsson and Zaburigia, which Russia announced unilaterally in September 2022 as well as the Crimea that it included in 2014.
Moscow also calls for Ukraine to give up its intention to join NATO (NATO), and for receiving western arms shipments.

Kiev rejects these conditions and demands a full withdrawal of the Russian army, which occupies approximately 20% of its territory, and with Western security guarantees, including the continued flow of arms shipments, and the deployment of a European force, what Russia opposes.
Consequently, negotiations aimed at finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict raised by the widespread Russian attack on Ukraine in February 2022 to a dead end.

Ending the war in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski repeated Friday confirmation of his willingness to meet his Russian counterpart personally in an attempt to pay the talks at the forefront, a proposal to reject the Kremlin so far.
“We know who makes decisions in Russia, and who must end this war,” Zellinski said on social media.
Adding that Ukraine is ready “at any time” to hold a “leadership meeting.”
