Update Bzshkian .. Iran is a defensive council after the war with Israel
Iran has announced the establishment of a defensive council aimed at strengthening its military capabilities after its recent war with Israel, according to official TV.
TV reported on Sunday that “the Supreme National Security Council approved the establishment of the National Defense Council.”
This declaration comes after the war launched by Israel on Iran with the support of the United States last June, and lasted 12 days.
The official television added that the new council will be headed by the President of the Islamic Republic, Masoud Boussakkian, and will include the leaders of the armed forces and the relevant ministries.
He explained that the Defense Council “studies the defense plans” and “enhances the capabilities of the armed forces centrally.”
The beginning of the war
Israel launched an unprecedented attack on Iran on June 13, with a declared goal that prevented it from possessing a nuclear weapon, an endeavor that Tehran denies its right to obtain a civilian nuclear energy.
During the war, Israel targeted nuclear and military facilities in particular, during which senior military officials and scientists working to develop the Iranian nuclear program were killed.
Iran has responded by firing missiles and marches on Israel and targeted the largest American base in the Middle East, in Qatar.
American bombing of nuclear facilities
On June 22, the United States bombed the Underground Underground Futures in Fordo, south of Tehran, and two nuclear establishments in Isfahan and Natanz in the center of the country.
After 12 days of the war, a ceasefire entered into force on June 24.
More than 1,000 people were killed in Iran during this war, according to the Iranian authorities, while Israel announced the killing of 28 people.
