The preparations for organizing the eighth version of the “Gulf Coatro” "In Ajman

Ajman on August 4 / WAM / Ajman will host during the period from 7 to 14 August this eighth edition of the football festival of the Gulf academies “Gulf Cattaro” with the participation of 18 teams from various Gulf countries, distributed over three age groups, under 12 years, under 14 years, and under 16 years.

The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Championship announced in a press conference today the completion of all preparations for the launch of the festival, which will be held under the supervision and organization of the Coatro Sports Center and aims to discover and refine football talents in the Gulf countries and provide the rising players sports experiences, enhance the spirit of winning them, and give them the experience of dealing with the media, in addition to raising the level of technical performance and developing the capabilities and skills of the teams participating in the tournament.

It also announced the festival program, which is led by the Coatro Championship for Gulf Football Academies.

His Excellency Ahmed Al -Raisi, Chairman of the Organizing Supreme Committee, said that the eighth edition of the Gulf of Coatro is a qualitative addition to the summer activities in Ajman, stressing the readiness of the organizing committee to direct the event in the best image, stressing the committee’s endeavor to strengthen the festival through the new version that is held under the patronage of Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi, head of the Tourism Development Department in Ajman.

For his part, Abdulaziz Abdullah, the general supervisor of the festival, and Salem Khalfan, the Mashraf of the Football Championship, provided a full explanation of the technical and organizational regulations, and the lottery ceremony was held for the three groups, and the teams were divided into two groups.

The first group included a category under the 12 -year category the Argentine Academy from the Emirates, the Saudi Qaf Academy and the Smart Academy of the Smart Academy from the Sultanate of Oman, while in the second group the Al Ain Club Academy from the Emirates, the Sven Four Academy from Kuwait, and the Olet Academy from Bahrain.

The first group under 14 years of age, the Argentine Academy, the Qaf Academy, and the Sven Four Academy, will participate in the first group, while the second group included the Leo Academy from Iraq in addition to the Oil Academy and the Smart Academy.

In the under -16 category, the Argentine Academy drawing in the first group, along with the Liu Academy and the Saoh Academy, plays in the second, the Al -Jawhara Academy from the Sultanate of Oman, the Talents Academy and the Ban Academy of Saudi Arabia.

Abdulaziz Abdullah explained that this year’s version includes many accompanying activities in addition to the football championship, among them a competitive championship in football skills, a tournament for electronic games, a training camp for the participating teams in preparation for the new sports season, in addition to a course approved for coaches and administrators, and a dialogue sports council that discusses ways to develop Gulf academies.

The championship matches will start in the opening match on Friday, August 8 in the under -12 category, which brings together the Argentine Academy and the Saudi Qaf Academy at the Coatro Sports Center stadium at five in the evening.
