"Sharjah volunteer work" The winners of the competition are announced "Environmental heroes" To motivate emerging on sustainable environmental practices

Sharjah, August 18 /WAM /The Sharjah Prize for Voluntary Work announced the names of the winners of the “Environmental Champions” competition, which was organized in conjunction with the International Environment Day, with the aim of spreading environmental awareness among children and adolescents, and motivating them to adopt behaviors and practices that reflect the spirit of responsibility towards the environment.
The competition aims to involve the age group from 7 to 12 years in environmental volunteer work, by providing creative ideas that highlight the importance of environmental protection, through short videos of no more than 60 seconds, in which the participants employed their talents in acting, narration, drawing and photography.
The competition witnessed a wide interaction and qualitative participation of children, which reflected the level of environmental awareness and creativity in providing community messages, as Mawazah and Maria Ahmed Ali Al -Kindi won the first place, while the second place was won by Issa Abdullah Al -Mazmi, while the third place was Dhyan Jithin Rajan, after evaluating the posts according to criteria that included clarity of the message, creativity, societal impact, and production quality.
In this context, His Excellency Souad Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Sharjah Prize for Voluntary Work, stressed that the competition comes within the efforts of the award aimed at involving the emerging generations in important societal issues, foremost of which is environmental protection, noting that strengthening these values in children contributes to building a more aware and sustainable society.
Al -Shamsi said: “We believe in the importance of consolidating the culture of volunteering in new generations, and we are happy with the high level of posts that reflected real interest in environmental issues. All participating children deserve appreciation, and we will continue to work on launching future initiatives that enhance their role in community service.”
It is noteworthy that the competition, which was launched last June, stipulated that the participant be a resident in the UAE, and to provide a high -quality work that can be published via digital platforms, with a focus on the clarity of the environmental message, creativity in the offering, and sound quality and image.
