An Emirati delegation views the programs of Alexandria University in preparation for the opening of its branch in Abu Dhabi

Alexandria on August 22 / WAM / An Emirati delegation headed by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alexandria University – Abu Dhabi, during his visit to Alexandria University in the Arab Republic of Egypt, briefed on the current preparations for the start of the study in the new university branch in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of the academic year 2026/2025.
This edifice constitutes a qualitative addition in the field of higher education by offering modern academic and professional programs that are consistent with the targets of the two visions of “Emirates 2030” and “Egypt 2030”, and contribute to the graduation of competencies capable of supporting the knowledge economy and enhancing the competitiveness of human resources.
The visit included introductory offers that dealt with the achievements of Alexandria University in international classifications and research and academic programs, followed by a tour of Smouha University Hospital for Medicine and Surgery of Pediatrics, and Smouha University Specialized Hospital.
The delegation was briefed on the latest specialized medical departments, which included a heart catheter for children and adults, stroke, open heart surgery, endoscopy of digestive systems, breathing, vascular surgery, and electrofolic unit.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan praised the status of Alexandria University, its ancient history and its regional and international presence, stressing that the establishment of the university branch in Abu Dhabi constitutes an added value by providing innovative educational programs and opportunities to obtain double and joint certificates with prestigious international academic institutions, reflecting the depth of brotherly relations between the UAE and Egypt.
For his part, Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, President of Alexandria University, stressed that the university has distinguished academic cadres capable of preparing graduates with global competitiveness to meet the requirements of development in the UAE.
He reviewed the university’s efforts to internationalize education through strategic partnerships with prominent American and European universities in medical, dental, engineering, computer science, business and artificial intelligence, along with the “Technology Park” project, which aims to link scientific research to the needs of knowledge economy.
