The President of the State discusses with the President of Angola bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in the interest of joint development

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, and Joao Manuel Gunsall Laurensu, President of the Republic of Angola, discussed various aspects of bilateral relations, ways to enhance and expand their horizons to serve the joint development of the two countries.
This came during the session of the talks held by the two sides today in Luanda, in the context of a “state visit” by His Highness the President of the State to Angola, where the Angolan President welcomed at the beginning of the meeting, expressing his appreciation for the visit and the important indications it contains in relation to the present bilateral relations and its future.
For his part, His Highness the President of the State expressed his happiness on the visit of Angola, and Joao Manuel Gunsall Lorensu and the Angolan people congratulated the fiftieth anniversary of independence that resolves this year, wishing Angola and its people more progress and prosperity.
During the session, the two sides reviewed the path of relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Angola and joint work to enhance them and invest the opportunities available for their development, especially in the fields of energy, technology, agriculture, food security, logistical services, etc., at the governmental and private levels.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said in this context that the relations between the United Arab Emirates and Angola are witnessing a continuous development, especially in the investment and development fields, stressing His Highness the UAE’s keenness to continue developing its relations with Angola, especially in the fields that support the joint development of the two countries and are good for their people, as well as working to enhance investment in sectors that serve their current and future development priorities, in terms of approach The constant state in building effective partnerships that achieve growth and prosperity for all.
The talks between His Highness the President of the State and the Angolan President touched on a number of regional and international issues of common concern, and exchanged views on them, stressing the need to work for stability in the world in a way that is in the interest of all peoples.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that one of the important aspects that bring together the UAE and Angola their common vision on work for sustainable development, growth and prosperity, noting that the UAE is keen to cooperate with Angola in this field based on its firm approach in supporting development partnerships as it is the way towards the development and prosperity of peoples.
His Highness expressed his confidence that the current Angolan presidency of the African Union will have a great impact on the service of peace and harmony on the continent, appreciating the role of Joao Manuel Goncalv Laurensu in this field.
His Highness the President of the State added that the UAE has a strategic orientation to enhance its development partnerships with the countries of the African continent, and supports everything that would enhance the reasons for development and stability in the continent for the benefit of all its peoples.
For his part, Joao Manuel Gunsall Lorensu described the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Angola in historical, stressing that the UAE and Angola are linked to a long -term friendship relationship at various levels, which resulted in distinguished results and today these relations are witnessing a qualitative shift.
He added that the Emirati companies had a distinguished presence in Angola and contributed to supporting the Angolan economy, noting that the agreements and memoranda of understanding that were signed during the visit enhance the interdependence in the fields of renewable energy, logistical services, agriculture and other fields, as it will support the Angolan economy and find job opportunities for young people.
The talks were attended by the accompanying delegation of His Highness the President of the State, which includes the team, His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidency Bureau for Special Affairs and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the State and a number of ministers and senior officials in the state, as well as a number of ministers and senior officials.
