The UAE provides a safe and stimulating environment that supports children’s growth and develops their abilities

Her Highness Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Council for Education, Human Development and Society, said that from childhood, a person’s journey begins to discover the world around him, during which the features of his personality and the foundations of his learning and growth are formed. Based on the belief in the importance of this stage, the UAE is keen to provide a safe and stimulating environment that supports the growth of children, develops their abilities, and enables them to learn, explore and build self-confidence from their early years, thus establishing in them a love of learning and enhancing their natural curiosity to understand the world around them.

Her Highness added: “Emirati Children’s Day comes to reaffirm the importance of investing in early childhood as an investment in the future of the entire society, and in the Year of the Family, the importance of the role of the family is renewed as the primary environment for a child’s growth and formation of his identity, where he learns values, gains a sense of security and belonging, and the features of his personality are formed.”

Her Highness stressed: “At times when there may be a lot of news or events surrounding children, it remains our responsibility to provide them with an environment full of reassurance and support that enhances their sense of security and confidence. We also stress the importance of supporting parents and caregivers, and strengthening the partnership between the family and educational and community institutions, in a way that contributes to raising children who are ambitious and confident, capable of creativity, and possess social intelligence and flexibility in adapting to changes, enabling them to be self-confident individuals who are able to interact positively with their community and contribute to “His future.”
