Founder "Grace": "The comprehensive farm is a leading Emirati model in the field of agricultural sustainability"
Sharjah, September 11/ WAM/ Hamed Ahmed Al Hamed, head of the Council of the UAE Agriculture Pioneers Association, founded the founder of the “Graceia” group that the agricultural sector in the UAE represents a basic pillar of environmental, community and health sustainability, stressing the importance of empowering this sector and enhancing its role through investment and innovation and adopting modern technical solutions.
Hamed Al -Hamid said in statements to the Emirates News Agency / WAM / during the International Forum for Governmental Communication that agriculture is not just a food production but rather an integrated system in which economic, social and environmental factors overlap, and require real support and potential to become a leading sector and a source of comprehensive sustainability in the country.
He pointed out that the UAE has made important strides in developing the sustainable agriculture system, pointing to the “Comprehensive Farm” initiative invented by the group and represents a revolutionary agricultural model that accompanies the challenges of the times and targets various aspects related to agriculture, including education, training, building agricultural homes, agricultural tourism and employing modern technology.
He explained that the “Graceia” group includes 15 interconnected companies operating under one umbrella with the aim of achieving agricultural sustainability by integrating knowledge with modern technologies and providing an incubating environment for innovation in this vital field.
Al -Hamid pointed out the importance of involving various segments of society and integrating children, women, local farmers, investors and businessmen in the modern agriculture system through practical programs and educational and societal experiences that contribute to building a sustainable environmental and agricultural awareness.
He stressed that investing in organic products and enhancing the values of agricultural innovation represents a strategic direction that is consistent with the UAE’s vision towards food security and health sustainability..and note the need to support local farmers and empower them through legislation and financial and technical capabilities.
