A visit to 50 executive heads of artificial intelligence in the country to the major American companies

The Office of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Labor Applications, in cooperation with the Dubai Center for AI, is organizing a qualitative cognitive visit to 50 executive heads of artificial intelligence in government agencies in the country, to the major technology companies in the United States of America, as part of its efforts to establish its position as a leading global model in digital transformation and enhance the adoption of artificial intelligence in government work.

The visit, which continues for a period of ten days, and the first of its kind in the region, aims to enable the executive presidents of artificial intelligence, to see the latest innovations and technological solutions, identify future trends of major companies, exchange best global practices in this field, and build an advanced cognitive network with technology experts, which contributes to developing government performance and enhancing readiness for future variables.

The visit program includes meetings with leaders and representatives of global technology companies, innovation centers, artificial intelligence experts, to discuss cooperation and future cooperation opportunities, and knowledge tours of major companies, most notably; “Google”, “Mita”, “Oben II”, “Balnter”, “Invidia”, “IBM”, “Amazon” and “Microsoft”.

The visit reflects the government’s efforts to implement the “UAE AI Strategy”, which was launched in 2017 within the “Emirates 2071 Centennial” that seeks to be the UAE’s best in the world in all fields.

Omar Sultan Al -Ulama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Action Applications, stressed that the rational leadership has been developed since the launch of the national strategy for artificial intelligence within the centenary of the Emirates 2071 an integrated vision for the design of the future, noting that this cognitive visit represents an important step towards promoting national integration in the field of artificial intelligence, expanding the adoption of emerging digital solutions, and building strategic partnerships with the most prominent international companies.

He said that the visit embodies the position of the UAE as a global center in artificial intelligence, and contributes to highlighting its pioneering experience in harnessing the techniques of artificial intelligence to serve government work and make the future, and enhance the presence of state leaders and experts on the international scene.

For his part, Eng. Mohammed bin Tala’i, head of government services in the UAE government, head of the delegation, said that the visit represents a station to enhance the continuation of the executives with the major international technology companies, and provides them with an opportunity to exchange experiences and develop ideas and practices that reflect positively on the quality of performance and government services.

He added that the visit program provides an ideal platform for identifying the directions and plans of international companies in the field of artificial intelligence, and how to employ them in developing government services, in order to enhance the competitiveness of the state and its leadership in future sectors.

The cognitive visit of the executives of artificial intelligence comes within the framework of the vision of the UAE government, which places investment in human capital at the top of its priorities, because of the basic pillar of national competencies in the march of digital development, and within its initiatives aimed at consolidating the state’s position in the top of the countries most ready for the future.

The visit also reflects the UAE’s commitment to building influential global partnerships that contribute to supporting its national strategies, and enhancing its competitiveness and leadership in the fields of digital economy and advanced technologies.
