What are the details of the American plan on ending the war in Gaza?

The administration of US President Donald Trump has presented a peace plan in Gaza consisting of 21 points and calls for the release of all hostages within 48 hours of agreement in exchange for a gradual withdrawal of the Israeli forces from Gaza, according to a source familiar with the proposal that was shared with Arab leaders earlier this week.

It is not clear whether the proposal was presented to “Hamas”, but it may be subject to reviews in the following days, and it may be subject to slight modifications. It is likely to be transferred across the Qataris to the remainder of the “Hamas” negotiating team in Doha.

Trump expressed optimism about resolving the conflict, saying, on Friday, that they were “very close” to reaching an agreement. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to continue the war until the elimination of Hamas.

According to the informed source, there is no timetable linked to the withdrawal of the Israeli forces in this version of the plan.

The source stated that this copy of the plan explicitly states that Israel will not attack Qatar again. It also stipulates the impossibility of forced displacement from Gaza.

The source added that the agreement stipulates that there is no future role for Hamas in government in Gaza.

The plan calls for two levels of temporary rule – a comprehensive international body and a Palestinian committee.

There is no timetable for forming a temporary government to gradually hand over the leadership to the Palestinian Authority.

The proposal indicates the role of the United Nations in providing humanitarian aid.

The plan does not state that the United States will support the Palestinian state, but rather it will recognize that this is the aspiration of the Palestinians.
