"Trends" Participates in a conference in the European Parliament and calls for the confrontation of polarization and extremism

Brussels, September 29/ WAM/ The Trends Center for Research and Consulting, through his office in Belgium, participated in the “Divides Blossing: Treatment of Polarization and Extremism among European Youth”, organized by the International Peace and Coexistence Movement “IMPAC” in cooperation with the office of European Parliament member Antonio Lopez – Esores White under the dome of the European Parliament in the Belgian capital, Brussels, in the framework of the center’s efforts To combat extremism by spreading knowledge.
“Trends” gave a major speech to the conference, delivered by the researcher Abdel Aziz Al Marzouqi, stressing the importance of confronting the challenges of polarization and increasing extremism among the youth of Europe.
The speech stressed that these challenges are mainly related to the growing influence of some extremist political movements, especially those related to the Muslim Brotherhood, which works through various non -governmental organizations throughout Europe, stressing the need to understand how these structures that often hide under the slogans of “progressive” or “wake” ideologies (wake “, pointing to their dire consequences on the social fabric The European, pointing out that these groups contribute to the extremism of youth and undermine integration efforts through financial support, strategic partnerships, and extremist propaganda.
“Trends” called for the necessity of identifying the sources of the strength and financing of the Muslim Brotherhood and its organizations, as well as “Trends” reports and seminars, to ensure the fight against its malicious influence and protect the values of Europe based on unity and inclusiveness.
The word also dealt with the importance of the role of education in combating extremism, as it considered it a tool to enable young people with the skills of critical thinking and flexibility to resist harmful influences, calling for educational reforms that enhance openness, dialogue and deep understanding of various views, noting the success of initiatives such as the Brussels round table in enhancing anti -indoctrination and prevention of extremism.
The word “Trends” reviewed the lessons learned from successful state studies globally, most notably the model of the United Arab Emirates in degrading “Dradicalisation”, which provides valuable visions on how governments, societies and institutions cooperated to confront extremism in Europe, warning of the failures in some regions, where the influence of organizations associated with the Brotherhood polarized instead of strengthening unity.
She concluded that combating polarization and extremism requires global cooperation, vigilance and a firm commitment to the values of peace, tolerance and integration, to ensure a European future for youth based on unity and progress.
For his part, Imam Muhammad al -Tawhidi, a member of the World Council of Imams in Canada, the advisor in the affairs of combating extremism and terrorism at the Trends Center for Research and Consulting, stressed that Islamist networks, led by the Muslim Brotherhood, adopt a coordinated and long -term strategy, aimed at penetrating in Europe and undermining its democratic institutions
In his intervention, he warned, in the name of “Trends” before the European Parliament in Brussels, that these groups operate according to studied plans and not just random activities, and valued the pivotal role of the UAE and the “Trends” center in the face of extremist thought and promoting intellectual and community security.
