Abdul Salam Al Madani is the first Emirati to be appointed as a professor at New York University in the United States

DUBAI, 20 JANUARY / WAM / New York University honored His Excellency Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Ambassador of the Mediterranean Parliament to the Gulf Cooperation Council region, President of AEEDC Dubai and the Global Scientific Dental Association (GSDA), and President of the International Congress of Health Specialties (ICHS), by appointing him to the rank of Professor at its headquarters in the United States of America in recognition of his distinguished scientific and practical career, his outstanding contributions in the fields of education, the medical sector, and professional development, and his role in strengthening international cooperation between scientific and medical institutions around the world. He became the first Emirati to be appointed to this prestigious academic position.
This came during the 23rd meeting of the World Scientific Dental Federation, within the second day of the activities of the 30th edition of the Emirates International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition “AEEDC Dubai 2026”, currently held at the Dubai World Trade Center, in the presence of a number of dignitaries from the UAE and the United States of America, local and international figures, and heads of delegations participating in the “AEEDC Dubai” conference and exhibition.
This achievement is the culmination of the UAE’s continuous efforts in the fields of education, scientific research and medical innovation, and confirms the UAE’s leadership and its prestigious global position in the international academic and scientific community.
His Excellency the Ambassador, Professor Abdul Salam Al Madani, expressed his pride and happiness with this honor, which reflects international appreciation for the efforts made to develop the medical sector and enhance the continuing education system.
New York University’s participation in the AEEDC Dubai 2026 conference and exhibition is of special importance, as it comes as a continuation of a long partnership spanning more than 30 years between the university and this international scientific event, reflecting its commitment to supporting medical education and innovating modern scientific solutions in the field of dentistry.
