Dubai Media launches an initiative to attract young Emirati journalists

In a move that reflects its continuous commitment to support and empower national cadres, the Dubai Media Corporation announced the launch of a qualitative initiative aimed at attracting and employing talented Emirati young men and women in the fields of press, writing and media liberation. This initiative comes as part of the Foundation’s strategy to enhance the presence of the national media and highlight its position locally and regionally, by investing in qualified national energies, and providing a professional work environment that embraces creators in the written and digital media.
The Foundation emphasized that this initiative seeks to build a new generation of Emirati journalists who are able to formulate responsible and purposeful content, which reflects the values of Emirati society and its future aspirations, and at the same time keep pace with the rapid transformations witnessed by the media scene locally and globally.
“The Emirati journalist is the voice of society and the pulse of the truth, and it is our duty to give young people the opportunity to be the makers of influence and opinion leaders, through national media platforms capable of reaching the public with consciousness and objectivity,” said Sheikha Ahmed, Executive Director of the Human Resources Sector at the Dubai Media Corporation.
Sheikha Ahmed added that “the Dubai Media Corporation believes that investing in young journalistic energies is an investment in the future, not only for the institution, but for the entire country, as the media is a basic pillar in building a knowledge society, promoting national identity, and effective communication with the world.”
“Our vision is to create a supportive environment, which enables the new generation to develop their talents in the press, liberation and the word industry, to continue our national media march with a spirit of creativity and ambition.”
The Dubai Media Corporation called on all young men and women citizens who have practical experience in the field of journalism, writing and editorial, to progress and join its media team, and contribute to a solid and influential national media industry, reflecting the identity of the UAE and its civilized message.
