"Leadership in the legislative industry"A new initiative to enhance the efficiency of the legislative system in Dubai
Dubai, October 6 / WAM / The General Secretariat of the Supreme Committee for Legislation in the Emirate of Dubai announced the launch of the “Leadership in the Legislative Industry” initiative, in a strategic move aimed at enhancing flexibility, efficiency and proactive within the legislative system, and consolidating cooperation with all government agencies in the emirate.
The initiative includes organizing extensive introductory meetings and a series of intense visits to government agencies, with the aim of explaining the committee’s competencies under its new Law No. 14 of 2024, and introducing the mechanisms and requirements of proposal and review of local and federal legislation and international agreements, in order to serve the future directions of the Emirate of Dubai.
Ahmed Saeed bin Mashmar Al -Muhairi, Secretary -General of the Supreme Committee for Legislation, said that this initiative comes as an inspiration from the vision of our wise leadership in consolidating Dubai’s position as a leading global model in excellence, efficiency and legislative and organizational, noting that the new committee law is an enabling tool that supports this path.
He affirmed the pursuit through the identification meetings and expanded visits to form a more comprehensive understanding of the specializations of the Supreme Committee for Legislation under the provisions of the new law, the availability of spaces for the exchange of visions and the participation of proposals, the development of the prospects for joint institutional work in support of the process of innovation and legislative inclusion, and in keeping with the ambitious development visions of the Emirate of Dubai.
The initiative aims to achieve a set of strategic targets, most notably the transfer of knowledge and best practices for specialists in government agencies, building effective partnerships, and ensuring that the legislative system is a major supporter to achieve the goals of the emirate, in addition to enabling legislative teams in various entities.
The “Leadership in the Legislative Industry” initiative is a qualitative step that enhances the committee’s contributions to consolidating Dubai’s position as an attractive environment for business and innovation, by developing an advanced legislative system that establishes the principles of flexibility and foreseeing the future.
