I thought about retiring… A young artist reveals the most difficult stages of her life

The young artist, Amira Adeeb, was a guest on the “Billboard in Arabic” platform, where she talked about the difficult stage she went through, which prompted her to think about retiring and leaving art after the wave of criticism she was exposed to.

Amira said: “I was very depressed and felt that the whole world was against me… I was thinking of abandoning art and staying at home,” adding that she only wanted to sing, dance and act, stressing that she accepted artistic criticism, but the personal criticism was very harsh, including harsh and abusive insults.

Amira also denied rumors about her relationship with the artist Amir Al-Masry, stressing that he is “very brotherly and our relationship has been old since my childhood.” She also spoke about her artistic family, drawing success from her mother, the artist Manal Salama, and explaining that her father, director Adel Adeeb, was supportive of her, but she learned to rely on herself without pampering.

Regarding her friendships in the artistic community, she said that she is still in touch with her friends such as Mayan Al-Sayed, but she is currently focusing on her work away from social media. (she has)
