Charging stations for electric vehicles in Abraj "drug"
Ajman, 17 October / WAM / Ajman Real Estate Corporation “Aqar”, the government real estate developer affiliated with the Ajman government, signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with “Charge & Go” from “E&”, on the sidelines of the activities of the GITEX 2025 International Technology Exhibition.
The memorandum aims to develop a network of electric charging stations for vehicles in the most prominent towers and buildings affiliated with “Aqar” in the Emirate of Ajman, thus becoming the first real estate developer in the emirate to launch an integrated project of this type within its residential and commercial portfolio.
The step contributes to supporting a smarter and more sustainable infrastructure, which enhances the adoption of electric mobility modes and keeps pace with the emirate’s ambitions to provide modern and comfortable services to residents and visitors.
The initiative is in line with the sixth strategic direction of Ajman Vision 2030, which is concerned with enhancing environmental sustainability by improving energy efficiency and expanding the use of alternative energy.
Khaled Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Ajman Real Estate Foundation – “Aqar”, said that the Foundation believes that smart cities are built on bold decisions and practical initiatives, and through the memorandum, the Foundation is laying the foundation for green infrastructure in its projects that enhances the quality of life and supports the transition to more sustainable communities, expressing his aspiration for charging stations to be part of a daily lifestyle that reflects “Aqar’s” commitment. Environmental responsibility and keeps pace with the aspirations of the emirate’s residents.
The memorandum also reflects Aqar’s orientation towards smart transformation by adopting the latest technical innovations in the field of real estate development, to ensure the sustainability of its services and provide advanced solutions that keep pace with the evolving needs of modern residential communities.
This initiative confirms Aqar’s leadership in employing sustainable solutions to serve the community, and consolidating its role in building a government real estate development model to be emulated in the emirate and beyond.
