المملكة: Photos| The start of the end-of-year exams, with the exception of Mecca, Medina, Jeddah, and Taif

It was launched today, Sunday, in various regions of the Kingdom. The final written examsfor boys and girls schools for the academic year 1447 – 1448 AH, with the exception of Mecca, Medina, Jeddah, and Taif, amid ministerial controls to organize the evaluation.

The four excluded cities will resume their students’ exams next week according to the approved academic calendar, coinciding with the actual end of studies in the rest of the education departments in all regions.

The study period extends in Mecca, Medina, and Jeddah. And Taif for an additional week, devoted exclusively to completing final school work and conducting assessments for struggling students.

Commitment to procedural plans

The Ministry of Education stressed the need for all schools to adhere to precise procedural plans that ensure the flow of the school day, and to strictly adhere to the controls for preparing questions and announcing schedules early.

The Ministry obligated educational departments not to Testingthe student in more than two subjects daily in two separate sessions, directed at identifying struggling secondary school students, and notifying them of the struggling subjects and the specific dates of their tests.

Educating students and parents

The Ministry stressed the importance of educating students and parents about the objectives of central assessment and its role in measuring achievement and covering the skills and knowledge included in the courses.

It indicated that the central testing manual specified strict mechanisms for building and judging models, including reviewing results and re-correcting random samples, with the aim of ensuring the accuracy of the assessment and raising the reliability of educational outcomes.
