The start of the second round of races "Emirates Running Villages 2025" In Masfout

Ajman, 18 October / WAM / The second round of the “Emirates Villages Running 2025” races began today in the Masfout area in the Emirate of Ajman, which is held within the activities of the “Year of Community 2025” under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, Chairman of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development.
The winners of the races were crowned today in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Khalifa Bakhit Al Kaabi, Secretary General of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Ajman Government Media Office, and a number of officials of agencies and councils in the country.
The second round of races recorded broad community participation from various age groups, including people of determination, in a scene that embodies the highest images of national cohesion, belonging, and the spirit of cooperation and deep-rooted participation in Emirati society.
The race distances varied to suit all groups, as the program included a 1.5 km family race, a 5 km community race, and a 10 km competitive race, which allowed for wide participation from various segments of society.
This initiative embodies the wise leadership’s keenness to support national programs and initiatives that enhance the participation of all segments of society in sports and community activities and consolidate the values of community service, volunteerism and a culture of shared responsibility, thus contributing to enhancing the process of development and progress in the UAE.
The races coincided today with the announcement of the village of Masfoot in the Emirate of Ajman winning the “Best Tourist Village in the World” award for the year 2025 from the United Nations Tourism Organization, thus making the UAE achieve a new historical achievement added to its record of international achievements.
This victory reflects the success of the country’s pioneering national initiatives in the field of balanced development, especially the “Emirates Villages” program, which aims to achieve a sustainable development model for the villages of the Emirates based on the innovative and inspiring national initiatives that aim to achieve a balance between preserving natural and cultural heritage and sustainable development.
It is worth noting that the “Emirates Villages Run 2025” races are organized in partnership with “ADNOC” and in cooperation with sports councils, municipalities and tourism authorities at the state level.
The “Emirates Running Villages” races are a community and sports platform that highlights the values of belonging and cohesion and contributes to highlighting the diversity of the country’s natural terrain and the richness of its culture and heritage.
