Hamdan bin Zayed witnesses category competitions "The facts" At the third Al Dhafra Camel Racing Festival

Al Dhafra Region, 23 October / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, witnessed the “Al Haqayeq” category competitions, which were held in Al Dhafra Square in the Al Dhafra Region, as part of the activities of the first day of the Third Al Dhafra Camel Racing Festival.

The results of the competitions held today resulted in “Etemad”, owned by “Ahmed Mohammed Mahoush Al Mazrouei”, winning the cup in the open “Al-Haqayeq Al-Abakar” category, while “Jelboot”, owned by “Amer Ali Rajeh Al-Marri”, won first place in the second half allocated to the open “Al-Haqayeq Al-Jadaan” category.
“Teardrop” by its owner, “Amer Saqr Al-Wahaibi,” also won the third round in the category of “Al-Hakaiq Al-Jadaan Production,” and “Al-Faris,” owned by “Ahmed Sultan Belrasheed Al-Suwaidi,” won the third round for the “Al-Hakaiq Al-Jadaan Production” category.

After the conclusion of the competitions, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan crowned the winners of the symbol races and congratulated them on the distinguished results they had achieved, praising the wide participation of camel owners from various countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which confirms the importance of this ancient popular heritage at various levels.
His Highness expressed his appreciation for the great support provided by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, for traditional sports in general, and for camel racing in particular, stressing that the wise leadership is following the approach of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, in preserving the authentic popular heritage and passing it on to future generations.

His Highness explained that camel racing represents an ancient popular heritage that reflects the connection of the people of the Emirates to their past and their national identity.
His Highness also praised the outstanding organizational work of the third edition of the Al Dhafra Camel Racing Festival, stressing the importance of continuing to develop this sport and enhancing its status among members of society.
For their part, the camel owners participating in the festival appreciated the great support that the sport of camel racing in the country receives from the wise leadership, through organizing heritage events and festivals that witness wide demand from the people of the country and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
It is noteworthy that the third Al Dhafra Camel Racing Festival will witness the holding of 107 rounds in the categories of “Al-Haqayeq”, “Al-Laqaya” and “Radio”, with the distribution of 24 tokens, 8 tokens for each category, and the organizing committee has allocated valuable cash prizes to the winners from first to tenth place.
The competitions were attended by His Excellency Humaid Saeed Al Neyadi, Director of the Office of the Head of the Presidential Office, His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Office of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, and His Excellency Abdullah Mubarak Al Muhairi, Director General of the Camel Racing Federation.
