The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance is held in cooperation with the Religious Presidency of Muslims for boys and girls, at the Imam Al-Sarkhasi Mosque in the capital, Bishkek.
This comes as an extension of the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia inSpreading the Message of the Qur’an The Ministry explained in a statement that the Qur’anic competition comes with the support and sponsorship of the Kingdom represented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in order to achieve its goal. For the aspirations of the wise leadership, may God support it, in serving Islam and Muslims and spreading the message of the Holy Qur’an globally, and as an extension of the efforts implemented by the Ministry globally, where more than (41) international competitions were implemented in various continents of the world, in which contestants from approximately 170 countries around the world participated. The competition also aims to connect Muslims with the Book of God, encourage young people to memorize it, and raise the level of Muslims’ academic achievement related to the Holy Qur’an. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs indicated that the competition began its initial qualifiers on October 10, and included seven governorates. And two cities in various regions of the Republic, with the participation of 300 male and female contestants. Through which 54 male and female contestants qualified for the final qualifiers that will be held during the days of October 27 and 28, while the event concludes with a ceremony honoring the participants and winners on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 AD. The Ministry also explained that the contestants will compete in three branches. For boys and three branches for girls, including the branch of memorizing the entire Holy Qur’an, the branch of memorizing fifteen parts, and the branch of memorizing five parts, with a total value of approximately half a million riyals, within the framework of the Kingdom’s continued support for competitions of the Holy Qur’an and disseminating its sublime values in various Islamic countries. The competition program concludes on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 AD, with a closing ceremony to honor the winners and distribute prizes, at the Imam Mosque. Al-Sarkhasi, which hosts the competition activities. It is considered the largest mosque in Kyrgyzstan, and one of the most prominent religious landmarks in the capital, Bishkek, in the presence of a number of officials, scholars, and senior official and religious figures, in a scene that embodies the position of the Holy Qur’an in the lives of Muslims, and strengthens the bonds of Islamic brotherhood.
