After being stripped of his titles…what will happen to Prince Andrew’s daughters?

After Buckingham Palace recently announced King Charles III’s decision to strip his brother, Prince Andrew, of his titles and expel him from his royal residence, questions arose about the fate of his daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie.

In a statement, the palace said that Andrew would later be known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and would not be known as a prince.

This action comes in the wake of the revelation of Andrew’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, who has been convicted on sex charges.

Pressure increased on the royal court to remove the prince from his residence at the Royal Lodge after he gave up the use of the title Duke of York earlier this month due to his friendship with Epstein and allegations made by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of Epstein’s victims.

But the king went further, stripping him of the title of prince, which he had held since his birth as the son of the late Queen Elizabeth II. Prince Andrew has also agreed to leave his current home, according to Buckingham Palace.

However, Prince Andrew’s daughters will remain part of the British royal family despite King Charles starting official procedures to strip his brother of his titles in the wake of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, according to The Independent newspaper.

As daughters of a prince, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will retain their titles in accordance with King George V’s 1917 decree.

It is understood that the sisters are invited to join the gathering at Sandringham for Christmas and other royal family occasions. (Arabic)
