"Yedioth Ahronoth": Concern in Israel about the transmission of measles infection from patients to doctors

The Israeli Ministry of Health announced today, Saturday, that another doctor at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv was infected with measles after treating an unvaccinated girl, amid concern in medical circles about the infection being transmitted to doctors, with the disease spreading in many areas of Israel. Gat, Ashdod, Safed, Netivot, and the Matei Binyamin Regional Council.

 

The statement reported by the newspaper (Yedioth Ahronoth) stated: “This is an exceptional case that is currently being investigated by the hospital and the Ministry of Health.” Good. Because they were vaccinated, they are suffering from a mild form of the disease.”

 

The people who were in contact with the two doctors received preventive treatment, and at the same time, suspicions that a member of the medical staff was infected with the disease were ruled out, and the statement renewed its call to the public to receive vaccination.
