Italian Trade Commissioner: 45% annual increase in oil and gas technology exports to the UAE

Abu Dhabi, 5 November / WAM / Valerio Soldani, Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE, and Director of the Italian Trade Agency office in Dubai, confirmed that the economic relations between the UAE and the Republic of Italy are witnessing an unprecedented stage of prosperity, driven by continuous growth in the volume of trade exchange and the expansion of cooperation in the fields of technology, energy and sustainability.
He added, in statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, on the sidelines of the ADIPEC exhibition, that Italian exports to the country recorded a remarkable growth during 2025 by 18%, while exports of oil and gas technology achieved an annual increase of more than 45%, which reflects the strength and diversity of the economic partnership between the two countries.
He explained that the Italian participation in the ADIPEC exhibition this year, which includes more than 150 companies from various industrial and technological sectors, confirms the depth and breadth of bilateral cooperation, pointing out that the Italian Trade Agency is working to support an integrated system of small and medium-sized companies that contribute to transferring the latest innovative and sustainable solutions to the Emirati market.
He pointed out that the UAE today represents a pivotal center for Italian companies wishing to expand into the African and Southeast Asian markets, especially in light of the country’s signing of a series of comprehensive economic partnership agreements that strengthen its position as a global bridge for business and investment.
He pointed out that this momentum in cooperation reflects the two countries’ shared vision in promoting innovation and adopting green solutions, stressing that Italian companies seek to expand their partnerships with their Emirati counterparts in the sectors of renewable energy, green hydrogen, and low-carbon technologies, in a way that supports the country’s efforts to achieve its ambitious goals to reach climate neutrality by 2050.
Soldani stressed that Italy, which is the second largest industrial economy in the European Union, sees the partnership with the UAE as a long-term strategic partnership, stressing the commitment to continue developing cooperation based on advanced technology and sustainability to achieve mutual growth and reach new heights of economic success.
