Passenger Transport Activity
The Authority revealed that the supervisory teams caught (549) violators who carried out preparatory work. "Calling" For transporting passengers using their own vehicles without a license, and (522) violators transported passengers on board their private vehicles in irregular ways.
She stressed that these campaigns come as part of her ongoing efforts to enhance competitiveness in the transport sector, and reduce illegal practices that harm the quality of transport and the safety of passengers.
She stressed that this is a step that contributes to enhancing the compliance rate in the passenger transport sector, in line with the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services.
The new system for land transport
She indicated that the new system for land transport on roads, issued by Royal Decree No. (M/188) dated (08/24/1446 AH), stressed the prohibition of the practice of transport without a regular license.
The penalties for repeat violations stipulated financial fines of up to (11) thousand riyals, with the vehicle being impounded for a period of (25) days against whoever carries out the preparatory work. "Calling"

While the penalties amount to a fine of (20) thousand riyals and the impoundment of the vehicle for a period of up to (60) days against those who engage in irregular transportation, with the possibility of selling the violating vehicle at a public auction and deporting non-Saudis in the event of repeating the violation.
