Trump: America may not support NATO if necessary


US President Donald Friday again expressed its dissatisfaction with the allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) for their refusal to send military support to secure , saying that Washington probably would not help them if asked to do so.

He said during an economic event in Miami: "They simply did not exist. We spend hundreds of billions of annually, hundreds of billions are required of NATO to protect them, and we were always going to stay by their side, but now, based on their actions, I think we are not obligated to do so, right?"

He added: "Why would we be there for them if they are not there for us?".
