Al-Ahly wins over Zamalek and is crowned champion of the Egyptian Super Cup in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, 9 November / WAM / Al-Ahly won the Egyptian Super Cup for the 16th time in its history after defeating Zamalek 2-0 today in the final match held at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Al-Ahly scored a double by Ashraf Bin Sharqi in the 44th minute, and Marwan Attia in the 71st minute.

Al-Ahly had qualified for the final after defeating Ceramica Cleopatra 2-1 in the semi-final, while Zamalek qualified after defeating Pyramids 5-4 on penalties in the same round.

On a related note, Ceramica Cleopatra won third place after defeating Pyramids 2-1 today at Al Nahyan Stadium in the third and fourth place match.
