Hazem Imam is angry: A generation must walk… and Zamalek needs saving in January
Hazem Emam, the former Zamalek star, came out to express his shock at the team’s loss to Al-Ahly in the Egyptian Super Cup final, stressing that the situation inside the club can no longer tolerate postponement.
Hazem said on On Sport channel that Zamalek lost its personality in such major confrontations, pointing out that the current circumstances are difficult and that the team does not have real offensive solutions with the exception of Juan Alvina Bezerra, and with him Saif Al-Jaziri to a lesser extent, while it seemed Al-Ahly is more technically superior and more dangerous throughout the match.
Hazem Emam called for the departure of most of Zamalek’s players during the coming period, pointing out that the club needs urgent rebuilding, with the necessity of keeping Bezerra and signing strong deals in January to restore the spirit of the team and save what can be saved.
Al-Ahly had clinched the Egyptian Super Cup title after winning a clean double, in a confrontation that witnessed a clear advantage for the red team.
